Kellie Martin is the American actress and filmmaker best known for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the family drama Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. In addition, she is famous for her role as the main character in her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin, the daughter of a department-store seller and a kindergarten teacher began her professional career acting at the age of seven, when her aunt who worked as an nanny for Michael Landon's kids assisted Martin get a part in the 1981's series "Father Murphy". Following her graduation from Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness and landed roles on the small and large screen. Apart from being an actor, Martin is an accomplished photographer, as well as a ballet dancer. Two daughters are hers and a son, she is also the Lupus spokesperson and spreads awareness about the condition each day following the passing of her sister when she was the age of 19.
